About DIFFERENT KIND OF GREAT
DIFFERENT KIND OF GREAT comes from a deep desire to know Jesus more and to reflect His kind of leadership as we seek to make disciples and further the work of His Kingdom. The first section of the book is devotional in nature and comes out of a study of Matthew 18-20. In this section of Scripture, we are confronted with the question of who is the greatest in the Kingdom? Through a number of interactions, stories, and teachable moments, Jesus upends all ideas of leadership and calls us to something so much better and more meaningful.
The second section considers the idea that leadership in Jesus' Kingdom is about making disciples. I look at key components in the work of making disciples and call us to an empowering leadership that builds others and equips them for good works.
