“My mouth will tell of your righteous deeds,
of your saving acts all day long-- though I know not how to relate them all.” — Psalms 71:15 There is so much to tell! I hope to be sharing some stories soon, but for now we wanted to write a brief message. Thank you so much for praying for us, supporting us, and caring for us. We are so thankful to the Lord! We have been in Mirembe House for six months now, and it’s been amazing. We’ve hosted four teams from the US (we’re in the midst of one right now!), two residential discipleship programs for young adults, and one prayer retreat, not to mention multiple gatherings of worship and prayer. Our Mirembe House family is growing in depth and love for one another. At the same time, we have seen more fruit in the disciple-making ministry during these six months than we ever have. People are coming to Jesus and gathering together in small fellowships to learn and encourage one another. We are learning how to better connect with the leaders of these fellowships and to offer the encouragement and coaching that they need. We have seen alcoholics, prostitutes, shopkeepers, single moms, students, laborers, and many different types of people joyfully receive the Gospel and begin to follow Jesus. We are seeing some groups multiply to the 2nd and (still rarely) third generation of disciples. There is an exciting momentum. God is on the move. We have many plans and prayers for the coming years, and are expectant and very grateful. We wanted to let you know, too, that we will be in the US for the months of August and September. It will be so wonderful to be with family, church family, and friends. In August, Hannah will be entering ORU as a freshman and Nathan and Emily are expecting their first child!!! I’ll share just one simple story. A few months ago we had a team from ORU. A couple of them went into the community of Nyendo to share the Gospel with people. In one area, several ladies expressed genuine interest. Most of them confessed that they had followed Jesus at one time, but in recent years had strayed from Him and were living worldly lives. Over the course of that week, with several more meetings, two of the ladies re-committed their lives to Jesus. As Maureen continued to go each week and have a fellowship with them, two others also came back to Jesus. I was with them all a couple of days ago, and each one testified that since they made that decision back in May, they have been walking with Jesus and their lives are changing. They even accompanied us as we went back out into the surrounding community to share about Jesus and pray for people. At the end of the day, their prayer request was for more boldness to proclaim the Gospel. I am confident the Father is going to answer their prayer! Thank you so much for your interest, prayers, encouragement, and support of all kinds. May God bless you richly.
