The mission of I AM Ministries is to heighten awareness among Christians that we have a purpose in this life and it’s not just to stand around and circulate oxygen. Jesus commanded us, His disciples, to “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation” Mark 16:15. We want to encourage you if you are a Christian, to be about witnessing about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to those around you that are living in darkness. We have to get a sense of urgency about us. Our world is changing very fast and it is looking eerily like what we read about in the prophetic passages of God’s Word. It is no secret that over the last 30 or 40 years Christians have somewhat lost their identity. Political correctness has been drilled into our brains since childhood and we have slowly, and mostly unknowingly, begun to blend into the secular society such that it is very difficult to discern who is a Christian and who is not. I believe that it is a minority of Americans, a noisy bunch, that have worked to take prayer out of schools and all other public gatherings, remove the Ten Commandments from all public places and make Truth a thing of personal choice and not something that is absolute and something that we can stand upon. These happenings have weakened Christianity in America and they have weakened America herself. History has shown us that as the moral temperature of a nation or kingdom goes, so goes the nation or kingdom. Maybe Christians haven’t fought hard enough over these issues or maybe God planned it this way because these happenings are fulfillment of prophecy and God is bringing us closer to the glorious return of our precious Savior. One thing I do know, however, is that Jesus commanded us, His disciples, to “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.” Mark 16:15. We are not all preachers and gifted with eloquent speech but we can all speak out when presented with the opportunity. This is what I plan on being found doing when my time to enter eternity gets here whether through death or through the Glorious Return of Jesus Christ. 1 Thess. 4:16 – 18 tells us, “For The Lord Himself will come down from Heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet The Lord in the air. And so we will be with The Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words.” God has led “I AM” Ministries to focus on three particular subjects: Witnessing – Share the road you are on. Absolute Truth – There really is such a thing! Spiritual Authority – What is it that is really broken? These will be dealt with through written Bible Studies, Speaking Engagements, printed materials and other marketing items. The printed materials and marketing items such as the “I AM” Window/Bumper Stickers, “I AM” Tee Shirts, Caps, Jackets, etc. will be sold to promote God’s Trademark “I AM” and to provide financial support to the Ministry. They will be excellent support items for groups that are teaching witnessing or proclaiming the Truth of God’s Word such as Youth Groups, College Groups, Men’s Groups, Women’s Groups, Young Marrieds, Old Marrieds, I think you are beginning to get the picture. Witnessing – Share the road you are on. This is about eternity! It is about spending eternity with our wonderful Creator in Heaven or spending it without Him in Hell for rejecting the salvation that He has provided free for everyone. Let us not keep this to our selves. That would be the ultimate in selfishness. It really is as simple as recognizing that we have broken God’s laws (sinned) and deserve to pay the penalty. Just like there is a penalty for speeding on the highway, there is also a penalty for breaking God’s laws. The penalty for speeding is usually a couple of hundred dollars fine plus court costs. Nobody has ever volunteered to pay any of the fines for my speeding tickets. The penalty for breaking any one of God’s laws is death. This death is not the physical bodily death that most of us think about. We will all die that death. The death we are talking about for breaking God’s laws means eternal separation from God in a place of eternal torment called Hell. Jesus volunteered to pay this penalty for anyone and everyone that would accept the free gift of salvation by receiving Him & trusting in Him as Lord & Savior. If we really believe that we are on the road to eternity in paradise with Jesus and that some of the people we work with 40 hours a week, often for years, our “friends”, are going to spend eternity in Hell, how can we not share with them the road to Heaven? I submit that we either don’t really believe in God and Heaven at all or that Satan has cast such a spell of apathy across the Church that we don’t feel any urgency about sharing Jesus Christ with our friends. Absolute Truth Only a few short decades ago abortion and homosexuality were illegal and unacceptable in American Society because the great majority believed they were wrong beyond a shadow of a doubt. Now we hear such things as “Pro Choice”. Nice words to cover up the murder of innocent children? “Sexual preference” or “sexual orientation”, nice words to mask sexual perversion and make it acceptable in our society? Now there is a drive to make same sex marriage acceptable and legal in this country by twisting the Word of God regarding the holy institution of marriage that God Himself established “in the beginning”. Spiritual Authority Churches have lost their efficacy in America because we don’t reverence our Pastors and other Spiritual Leaders any more. We treat Pastors as mere employees that need to preach what we want to hear or we’ll just get rid of them. A Pastor is God’s chosen man for a church, assuming he was acquired prayerfully and with the correct motives. We are to allow them the freedom to let the Holy Spirit dictate what they preach to us and then heed it as a word from God! Similarly with the Deacons & Elders, we are to respect the direction that they, along with the Pastor, lead our Church. That is what we chose them to do so let’s let them do it without all of this murmuring. Murmuring is the most venomous talk that goes on between church members. It is a tool of Satan and its sole purpose is to undermine the leadership of the local Church. Whenever you hear it you can bet Satan or one of his hideous angels is close by. These same evil attitudes can project themselves into the home. Most often, as it was through Eve in the Garden of Eden, it will come through the wife challenging her husband’s Spiritual Authority. Why is it that with more books and marriage seminars available than ever before we still can’t seem to get it right? What is it that is really broken? The most important relationship in life next to our relationship with God is the marriage relationship. Inside and outside of the Church the Spiritual Authority that God built into this relationship has been so compromised that it is a wonder that divorce is only 50%. I am convinced that we do not have a clue about the joy and happiness that husbands and wives would be experiencing if both of them took seriously the teachings of the Scripture regarding Spiritual Authority in marriage. Our earthly marriage is supposed to be the husband loving his wife in every way like Christ loves the Church (Eph. 5:25) and the wife submitting to her husband in everything (Eph 5:24). The husband is supposed to have his wife’s best interest at heart at all times. The wife is to believe and trust that he does have her best interest at heart and to honor, respect, and edify him in everything. It sounds crazy in today’s social climate but I fully believe that God would bless a married couple with unbelievable joy, pleasure, and happiness if they were to respect His ways. The sad thing is that only a few will ever really know because we have sunk so deeply that not many husbands know how to love their wife like Christ loves the Church and not many wives understand what being submissive to their husband in all things really encompasses. It takes a lot of trust on both sides to even try to do this God’s way. But isn’t that what marriage is supposed to be all about in the first place? Trust? You only live once, wouldn’t it be nice to get this part of life right? Imagine all of the people that would benefit from seeing just one couple doing it God’s way. Husbands, love your wife. Wives, reverence your husband. All of society around this globe hinges on the relationships that God established “in the beginning”. If we could just get our relationships with God and with our spouse right everything else would make a lot more sense.
